Job Description

As a Valet Assistant, you will play an essential role in ensuring that our members and guests feel comfortable and secure when handing over their vehicle. Your primary responsibility will be to greet members and, most importantly, park and retrieve their vehicles promptly & safely.

You will need to be adaptable, detail-oriented, and have excellent communication skills to handle any questions or concerns that may arise. Additionally, you should have a good sense of direction to navigate busy parking areas. Reports to: Member Services Manager

Compensation Range :  $18-20/hour + cash tips

Schedule:  M-F between 10am-2:30pm (average of 20-25 hours per week, part-time). Plus, the opportunity to work weekends and evenings for additional hours during peak season. Open and flexible schedule preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers and promotes prompt, courteous, and professional service to all members and guests.
• Helps members, guests, and visitors in and out of their vehicles; opens lobby doors.
• Parks and retrieves vehicles in the assigned parking lot.
• Issues and collects automobile claim tickets and secures car keys.
• Maintains a clean and safe entrance to the club, including the sidewalk, windows, & doorway.
• Assist members and guests with packages or request roadside assistance when requested.
• Provides directions when needed and summons taxis, if requested.
• Follows the direction of the Lead Doorman while working cohesively to provide the best experience.
• Follow the set protocol on tips when working in a team.
• All other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license and a clean driving record for 7 years.
• Must have the ability to drive both automatic and manual vehicles.
• Must be able to speak and understand English.
• Prior or similar customer service experience required.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to stand or walk for the duration of the shift, up to 4 hours.
• Must be able to use hands and fingers to grasp, reach, and handle the car steering wheel.
• Must be able to use and coordinate feet to drive an automobile.
• The employee is occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, and crouch to complete job responsibilities.
• The employee must frequently lift, push, and carry up to 50lbs occasionally.
• Must be able to fully understand and speak English.
• Must be able to work outside in conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and wind occasionally.
