The Plant Training Specialist is responsible for the creation and revision of training content, the revision of training materials, and the tracking of training completion, qualification, and re‑certification of hourly employees. This role ensures that the various departments it supports have the right learning assigned within appropriate timelines to support employee growth and development. This role is responsible for coordinating training and learning assessment activities to ensure compliance with regulatory organizations. It will serve as a key contributor in the development of competency‑based learning, the introduction of new training delivery methods, and collaboration with departments such as EHS, Quality, Refinery, Packaging, and Operations.
Must have strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Must model the company’s core values and possess a work history that demonstrates adherence to company policies, procedures, and culture.
Must be a trusted advisor to the organizational levels with whom they interact.
Effective troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills will contribute to success in this role.
This role will frequently require presenting information and influencing others without authority.
