Test Engineer | Rockford, MI

Salary Range: $70,000 - $107,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Rockford that are seeking Test Engineers. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Perform functional, performance, and reliability testing of manufactured products and components.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve issues.
• Develop and maintain test documentation, including test procedures, reports, and defect logs.
• Calibrate and maintain test equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Implement and improve automated testing procedures to increase efficiency and coverage.
• Conduct root cause analysis for product failures and production line issues.
• Participate in new product introduction (NPI) and process validation activities.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, TestComplete, Python scripting).
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and quality control methodologies.
• Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation for defect tracking and trend identification.
• Experience with test plan development, execution, and reporting.
• Knowledge of hardware and software integration testing in a production environment.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Pytest).
• - Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for test automation and data analysis.
• - Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) principles and their application in testing.
• - Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing.
• - Understanding of agile methodologies and participation in sprint cycles.
