Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll and Accounting Specialist to join a manufacturing company in Largo, FL. While this role encompasses total oversight of our accounting functions, the immediate priority and core responsibility will be the end-to-end management of our Payroll and Tax compliance.
The successful candidate will be the "Sage Power-User" for the office, ensuring all postings are accurate, staff are well-trained, and financial deadlines are met with precision.

Responsibilities
Primary Focus: Payroll & Tax Compliance - Full-Cycle Payroll: Execute accurate and timely payroll processing for all employees.
- Tax Filing: Manage all payroll tax filings and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Sales Tax: Prepare and file monthly/quarterly Sales Tax returns.
- Reporting: Generate payroll-related schedules and tax forms as required by management or for year-end prep.
Accounting & Financial Management - General Ledger Oversight: Maintain the Chart of Accounts, record General Journal entries, and perform deep-dive reconciliations of G/L and bank accounts.
- Data Integrity: Regularly review and correct Sage account postings to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Financial Reporting: Compile and review monthly Financial Statements and all accompanying schedules.
- Payables & Receivables: Oversee Accounts Payable (AP), credit card processing, and cash receipts (including remote deposits).
- Fixed Assets: Track and record depreciation and manage fixed asset schedules.
