We are currently seeking a Mortgage Processing Specialist Manager that will direct and manage the day-to-day operations of the Mortgage Processing Specialist, Mortgage Construction Specialist and the Mortgage Pre-Closing teams utilizing established policies and procedures, corporate standards, and regulatory guidelines. The Mortgage Processing Specialist Manager will assist the Director of Mortgage Operations in development and maintenance of mortgage related guidelines, policies and procedures and will be responsible for the daily goals and operations of the teams to ensure maximum efficiency and accuracy while maintaining an internal and external customer centric focus. Key Accountabilities Pipeline Management, Reporting and Compliance
  • Create and manage daily pipelines for Processing and Pre-Closing to track and monitor loans in order to maintain established service levels.
  • Create and monitor pipelines for construction loans for timely draw funding and completion in order to protect the bank's lien priority.
  • Develop and maintain reports as requested by Management for Processing, Pre-Closing and Construction.
  • Ensure loans are processed in compliance with ONB policies and procedures, investor guidelines and applicable mortgage lending laws and regulations.
Customer Service Excellence
  • Act as a liaison between the Processing and Construction teams with Sales, Underwriting and Closing to provide exceptional internal and external customer service.
  • Foster a customer-centric atmosphere emphasizing responsiveness and professionalism.
  • Manage escalated internal and external customer concerns.
Talent Development and Growth
  • Interview, train and provide ongoing coaching and mentoring of Processors, Pre-Closers and Construction associates,
  • Conduct associate reviews identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing performance plans when appropriate.
  • Guide and direct the Processing and Pre-Closing teams in order to process loans efficiently and within established policies and procedures in order to deliver within service levels.
  • Guide and direct the Construction team in order to accurately process and fund construction loans within established policies and procedures.

  • Maintain current knowledge of policies, procedures, laws, regulations, and compliance at the state and federal level, as well as mortgage investor guidelines as they pertain to Processing and Construction Draw Management
  • Makes sound decisions based on all available information utilizing analysis, previous experience, and judgment.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • 7 or more years of experience in Mortgage Lending Operations with at least 3 years in a mid-level supervisory capacity
  • Experience with Loan Origination Software, LP and DU Systems, FHA Connection, VA Portal and USDA
  • Experience with multiple mortgage investors including but not limited to: FNMA, FHLMC and Freedom Mortgage
  • Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent experience
  • NMLS # and SAFE ACT registration required.
