Journeyman Maintenance Specialist (Electrician)

Job Description:

Essential Functions:

• Performs specialized electrical tasks such as conduit installation, design and ability to calculate circuit loads and install new circuitry for both high and low voltage devices. Troubleshoot and repair existing equipment and circuitry such as light fixtures, kitchen equipment, switch gear, contactors, etc.….

• Perform assigned maintenance and repair tasks in a professional and dependable manner following safework practices and in accordance with national and local codes in the performance of all duties.

• Perform electrical tasks such as outlets, switches and light bulb replacement.

• Performs other maintenance related tasks as assigned within skillset.

• Able to operate heavy equipment such as loaders and dump trucks or ability to learn.

• Maintain and safely operate power equipment such as saws, drills and other power tools.

• Perform seasonal duties such as snow removal and ice control.

• Can operate as the lead employee of a team working with other Maintenance specialists

• Performs setups and teardowns of events as needed.

• All other duties assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Knowledge of electrical systems and their operations.

• Ability to make decisions and implement solutions.

• Ability to organize and prioritize projects.

• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with others.

• Ability to work with others or alone on job assignments

​Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Graduate

• Minimum of four (4) years in building maintenance and trades.

• Specialized or technical training beyond high school in electrical fields.

• Journeyman’s card electrician, OR equivalent experience licensed electrician (City).

Preferred Qualifications: 

•    Fire Alarm License
