Job Description

About ATI

American Trading International (ATI) is a global, service-driven export trading company that connects leading U.S. food and beverage brands with customers in more than 80 international markets worldwide.

At ATI, we work at the intersection of strategy, relationships, and execution. We support domestic and international partners as they expand into new markets, navigate complex global supply chains, and build sustainable, long-term growth. Our work is fast-paced and collaborative, with a strong emphasis on accountability, trust, and follow-through.

We are a team of thoughtful, commercially minded professionals who value teamwork, integrity, and ambition. ATI is a place for people who enjoy solving real problems, working across cultures and functions, and contributing meaningfully to shared goals.

We are looking for individuals who are interested in building a long-term career, who take pride in their work, and who want to grow alongside a global organization that values diverse perspectives and inclusive collaboration.

What you’ll do

As Global Head of Sales, Business Development & Marketing, you will own and lead ATI’s global commercial strategy, with full accountability for diversified, sustainable gross margin growth and strategic relationship development.

You will act as the Integrator across all commercial functions, ensuring alignment between Sales, Business Development, Marketing, Operations, and Finance to deliver on ATI’s growth objectives.

This role requires a balance of strategy, execution, and leadership, with a strong focus on building a resilient and scalable commercial engine.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Own and execute global commercial strategy

  • Define and lead ATI’s global commercial strategy focused on sustainable gross margin growth
  • Translate long-term objectives into actionable annual and quarterly plans
  • Ensure commercial strategy aligns with operational and financial realities

2. Drive diversified portfolio growth

  • Build and manage a diversified portfolio of accounts, with no single account contributing more than 20% of total gross margin by end of 2027
  • Expand into new customers, markets, and channels to reduce concentration risk
  • Identify and develop new revenue streams and business models

3. Deliver gross margin performance

  • Own delivery of $11M gross margin in 2026
  • Balance growth with disciplined margin management
  • Establish clear KPIs and reporting to track performance and course-correct as needed

4. Build and lead the commercial organization

  • Design and build a high-performing global Sales, BD, and Marketing team
  • Recruit, develop, and retain talent aligned with ATI’s growth objectives
  • Establish clear roles, accountability, and performance expectations

5. Own strategic relationships

  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with key customers, manufacturers, and partners
  • Act as ATI’s external commercial ambassador
  • Unlock long-term strategic opportunities through trusted partnerships

6. Drive commercial discipline and execution

  • Implement structured forecasting, pipeline management, and performance tracking
  • Ensure strong alignment between commercial commitments and operational execution
  • Act as final decision-maker on major deals and commercial priorities

7. Act as organizational integrator

  • Ensure alignment across Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Leadership
  • Bridge strategy and execution to ensure decisions are actionable and financially sound
  • Drive clarity, communication, and accountability across functions

What Success Looks Like

In your first 12–24 months, success will include:

  • Delivery of $11M gross margin in 2026
  • Measurable progress toward a diversified portfolio, with reduced customer concentration
  • No single account exceeding 20% of total gross margin by end of 2027
  • A clearly defined and executed global commercial strategy
  • A scalable, high-performing commercial team in place
  • Strong, trusted relationships with ATI’s most critical stakeholders
  • Improved forecast accuracy and commercial discipline
  • Clear alignment between commercial strategy and operational execution

Requirements

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience leading global sales, business development, and/or commercial strategy
  • Demonstrated success driving revenue growth and portfolio diversification
  • Strong ability to build and scale high-performing commercial teams
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills with senior stakeholders and partners
  • High level of commercial acumen, including margin management and forecasting
  • Ability to operate as an Integrator, aligning multiple functions toward shared outcomes
  • Strategic thinker with strong execution capability
  • Decisive, accountable leadership style with a strong sense of ownership
