General Description : Salaried, full-time, in office position. Strong project management skills and working knowledge of the publishing industry preferred. Strong editorial skills are ideal. Also calls for flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, maintaining a maximum level of confidentiality, project coordination, and the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside agencies, vendors, publishers, and authors.

Qualifications

● 1+ years of relevant work experience in project management or similar field

● Bachelor’s Degree

● Insight into the Christian book market preffered

Skills

● Comfortable with a Mac Computer

● Comfortable on video calls (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet)

● MS Word skills, including track changes

● Proficiency in Google Office

● Basic proficiency in Adobe Acrobat

● Proficiency in Canva

● Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

● Candidate must be able to balance many projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining high standards of quality

  • Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to overcoming project challenges

Major Responsibilities

○ Communicate all aspects of the Fedd Books Self-Publishing process and create timelines

for authors

○ Schedule calls with authors for editors, designers, contractors, and freelancers and

oversee work to completion within required timelines

○ Liaising regularly with authors, printers, freelancers, and both print and electronic

designers by phone and email

○ Interpreting a client’s vision and make it a tangible and deliverable product

○ Secure ISBNs, Barcodes, Library of Congress submissions, Copyright page, etc. for clients

○ Acquire and review printer quotes for clients

○ Educate clients on best practices for shipping and fulfillmentObtain client approval by presenting final files to client

○ Educate clients on all things Amazon (ebooks, audible, preorders, etc.)

○ Schedule audiobook recording and upload author ebooks and audiobooks to Amazon
