Job Summary: In this role, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious, appealing meals for residents in accordance with dietary needs, facility menus, and food safety standards. This role plays a key part in maintaining resident health and satisfaction through high-quality food service. Key Responsibilities: * Prepare and serve meals according to planned menus and dietary requirements, including texture modifications (e.g., pureed, mechanical soft) * Follow standardized recipes and portion guidelines * Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures are followed in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations * Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, equipment, and work areas * Monitor food inventory and assist with ordering and receiving supplies as needed * Communicate effectively with dietary staff and nursing team regarding special diets or resident preferences * Follow resident-specific dietary plans, allergies, and physician-ordered restrictions * Assist with dishwashing and cleaning duties as assigned * May assist with supervision of dietary staff and servers, including meal service and scheduling * Other duties as assigned
