CAREGIVER - HOME CARE AIDE - PERSONAL CARE ASSISTANT

Griswold Home Care for Sumter & Kershaw seeks compassionate individuals with personal care experience to join our amazing Caregiver team in both Full-time and Part-Time positions. We service clients across a large portion of the SC midlands ranging from Northeast Columbia down to Lake Marion, including towns & communities such as Blythewood, Ridgeway, Pontiac, Elgin, Lugoff, Camden, Kershaw, Dalzell, Oakland, Sumter, Stateburg, Wedgefield, Mayesville, Pinewood and many more.
Compensation: $15-$17

YOUR LIFE AS A CAREGIVER
This companionship and caregiving position offers flexible hours and opportunities to assist seniors on both day and night shifts. Clients may receive as little as 4 hours of care, while others require 24-hour care.
As a Caregiver, you have the rewarding job of helping seniors live as fully and independently as possible while remaining in the places they love. You provide non-medical care and companionship, helping with various responsibilities such as laundry, meal preparation, light housekeeping and even grocery shopping. With the client’s dignity always at the forefront, you help them maintain proper personal hygiene. You are gentle & professional as you aid them with daily tasks such as bathing and feeding. At times, you provide companionship to clients who have dementia or cognitive impairments. Your kind and patient demeanor serves you well as you ensure they receive the highest quality of care.
You carefully complete documentation for each shift, submitting timely updates. Committed to providing consistent elderly care, you communicate routinely with the office about the condition & needs of your client(s). You take pride in helping seniors enjoy their golden years and in the way you do your job. WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
- First and foremost - you must demonstrate knowledge of the aging journey and genuine compassion for people
- 6+ months of care experience - if yours has been strictly with a family member, then great, apply and let's talk
- Reliable Transportation is a must for all assignments
- To be considered for many clients, you must also provide a Valid Drivers License & proof of Active Car Insurance
- Be eligible to work in USA
- Have HS Diploma or GED/Equivalency
- Successful Completion of Background & Health Screens
- Provide References
- We are willing to train you...but existing classes & certifications are nice, too
