Position Overview:
CTR Food Works is seeking an experienced, highly organized Bar Manager to lead a large-scale, high-volume bar operation in Atlanta. This role is responsible for overseeing all bar operations, leading a large team, maintaining strong service standards, and ensuring the bar runs efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of bar management experience, is confident managing heavy volume, and knows how to build structure, accountability, and consistency across a large staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all day-to-day bar operations.
  • Lead, manage, and support a large team of bartenders, barbacks, and support staff.
  • Create and maintain staff schedules based on business levels, events, and operational needs.
  • Hire, onboard, train, and develop bar staff.
  • Maintain high standards of service, speed, accuracy, cleanliness, and professionalism.
  • Ensure the bar is fully set up, stocked, organized, and ready for service at all times.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, receiving, storage, and product rotation.
  • Monitor liquor, beer, wine, and bar supply usage to control waste and protect costs.
  • Enforce recipes, portioning, cash handling procedures, and company policies.
  • Oversee opening and closing procedures and ensure they are completed correctly every shift.
  • Address guest concerns quickly and professionally and help create a strong overall guest experience.
  • Maintain a visible, hands-on presence on the floor during service.
  • Work closely with ownership and leadership to improve systems, staffing, and operational performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all alcohol service laws, safety standards, and health regulations.
  • Review performance of staff members and provide coaching, feedback, and accountability.
  • Support the execution of special events, high-traffic weekends, and major service periods.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of bar management experience required.
  • Proven experience managing a high-volume bar operation.
  • Experience leading large teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Extremely organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and make quick decisions under pressure.
  • Strong knowledge of bar service, inventory systems, ordering, and labor management.
  • Experience with staff training, conflict resolution, and performance management.
  • Must be dependable, professional, and solutions-driven.
  • Must be comfortable working nights, weekends, holidays, and peak event periods.
